EVO ICL stands for Implantable Collamer® Lens. It is a soft, flexible lens placed inside your eye, behind the iris and in front of your natural lens, working with the natural parts of your eye rather than changing them.
Think of it like adding a lens to a camera. The EVO ICL sits behind the iris and in front of your natural lens, which stays exactly where it is.
Unlike laser eye surgery, no corneal tissue is removed. The lens carries built-in UV protection, and once in place nobody can see it and you cannot feel it.
EVO ICL corrects short-sightedness, while the EVO Toric ICL corrects short-sightedness together with astigmatism. Dr Musa recommends the right lens for you.

Laser reshapes your cornea. It removes tissue to do it, and that tissue does not grow back. The EVO ICL works the other way round.
The EVO ICL adds a lens rather than taking anything away, so your cornea stays exactly as it is.
If you have thin corneas, dry eyes, or a prescription laser cannot reach, that difference is the whole point. You keep sharp vision throughout the day and after dark.
A surgeon can remove the lens if your needs ever change. In a patient survey, 99.4% of people said they would have the EVO ICL procedure again.
